VSP Vision Care Launches Comprehensive Spanish Web Site
Helps Latinos Find Access to Eyecare
Rancho Cordova, Calif., September, 2008 – VSP® launched a new comprehensive Spanish Web site,www.vsp.com/espanol, to effectively meet the unique vision care needs of the Latino community. Latinos are at a greater risk for macular degeneration, cataracts, glaucoma and especially diabetic retinopathy. VSP’s new Web site helps Latinos learn about the unique health risks they face and how vision is connected to overall health as well as assists them in finding an eye doctor.
The Web site includes specific eye health information for Latinos such as their risk for diabetes and the impact it could have on their vision. Additionally, the Web site includes all components of VSP's English Web site such as the Eyecare Discovery Centre where one can learn more about diseases affecting the eye; benefit summaries which allow a member to learn about the unique features included in their plan; and, VSP in the Community where one can learn about VSP's community programmes such as Mobile Eyes™ and its strategic sponsorship with the American Diabetes Association.

Furthermore, VSP has also introduced a number of new Spanish materials for the Latino community to help them understand the importance of an eye exam and overall eye health.
