MotionPoint helps companies increase customer engagement and conversion rates in international markets.

We do this by leveraging a platform-independent, fully turn-key approach to website localisation. Our proxy-based solution creates localised websites and other digital content that perfectly replicates your origin market's customer experience.

Our approach fully supports:

  • Websites
  • Secure login areas, such as customer and employee portals
  • Digital omnichannel content
  • Offline content such as brochures and sales collateral

MotionPoint’s unique solution requires no IT integration, and works with all online content management platforms. Our solution typically takes less than 5 hours to deploy, and no on-going IT effort to operate. Other translation approaches demand months of IT development to implement.

For curious IT pros and technologists, here's a closer look at how MotionPoint sets up, translates and manages localised sites on a continual basis.

Automatically Supports Most Content Formats

MotionPoint’s solution can detect, capture and translate content in virtually any format, including:

  • HTML
  • CSS
  • XML
  • JavaScript
  • AJAX
  • Single-page applications

Our development team can also evaluate less common formats or file types to determine compatibility with our solution.

Robust Content Detection Capabilities

MotionPoint’s automated content-detection technology crawls customer websites nightly—or as often as the customer requests—to identify and capture content changes.

When the crawler identifies translatable text, our parser passes those sentences through translation memory, where previously translated content is stored.

  1. If the parser detects a match, the translated content is pulled from translation memory and immediately published on the localised site.
  2. If the parser doesn’t find a match in the translation memory, the sentence is queued for translation.
  3. New translated content is published on your localised website within one working day.

This technology also detects website metadata, structured data, and other SEO-rich “under the hood” elements and content.

Other Ways We Detect New Content

Our technology has three additional ways to keep up with your changing website:

First-View Assurance

When a browser request is made on your website, it triggers our technology to identify any new content on the page and immediately queue it for translation.

TranSend™

MotionPoint's online support portal allows you to access your translation memory to use previously translated content for new sections of your website. You can also use these translations for use in any channel, including social posts, emails, offline content and more.

You can use TranSend to request translation of new content before it’s published, too.

MotionPoint’s Ticketing System

When you submit a ticket to request translation for urgent, large or complex requests, our support team will ensure your request receives immediate attention.

Translates Images, PDFs, and Video

MotionPoint’s solution provides extensive translation options for multimedia, including:

Images with Externalized Text

MotionPoint's solution translates images with externalized text by default; our crawler automatically detects and collects this text, which our linguists translate and publish within one working day. This speed and resulting cost savings make externalized text a best practice for image translation.

Images with Embedded Text

Images with embedded text (such as flattened JPG files) require a modest production workflow. New images are detected by a checksum algorithm and queued for translation. Linguists provide translated text, and send the image to our graphic designers, who remove the embedded text and replace it with translated content.

MotionPoint does not need source files, such as those created in Photoshop, to translate images with embedded text.

PDFs, Videos and More

Localising PDFs and videos requires a modest production workflow. Videos can be dubbed with an in-language voiceover, transcribed or subtitled. Closed caption files can also be translated.

Crawls Login Sites

If provided with a test login name and password, MotionPoint's technology can access and crawl the contents of login or portal sites. This login information also allows translators, QA analysts and web engineers to access the site.

Secure Personalised Experiences

Dynamic content—such as names, account numbers, and other personal information—is displayed on your multilingual websites through a request to your system’s backend.

Your customers’ personal information is never stored on MotionPoint’s servers and is never crawled or queued for translation.

This ensures that users receive a personalised experience on par with that of your origin website, while completely protecting their private information.

Supports Staging and Pre-Production Environments

It's a MotionPoint best practice to configure a customer's staging and preproduction environments to communicate with our proxy-based solution. Once translated content is ready and approved on a pre-production environment, it can be instantly published on the production site.

Secure Solutions for Staging Sites

Our best practice is to crawl staging sites for new or updated content. If you have security concerns, MotionPoint can provide other options, such as utilising VPNs, or customer self-hosting of our technology on your servers.

In rare cases where a customer can't provide MotionPoint access to their staging site, our technology can provide translations by crawling the publicly available origin website. Alternately, the customer can manually submit content for translation.

API

MotionPoint’s API is flexible and scalable, enabling you to engage your customers in every language they speak, in every channel they use.

Our API empowers you to leverage the power of your project's translation memory whenever you wish to localize your content for multichannel or other use. This reduces costs and preserves your brand voice across all channels.

Conclusion

You need a customer experience translation solution that eliminates the constant, expensive drain on your resources. MotionPoint offers a platform-agnostic solution that extends the value of your platform investment, and eliminates the development time you'd spend on other approaches.

Our goal is to help free your team to focus on what it’s already great at: improving the functionality performance of your origin website.
