Mobile Internet Growth in Brazil


The number of users accessing the internet via mobile devices is expanding rapidly in Brazil. According to eMarketer, mobile phone internet users have grown from 25.2 million in 2011 to an estimated 53.1 million in 2013. By 2017, eMarketer estimates that almost all internet users in Brazil and close to 60% of the country will go online via mobile phones.

The growth, according to the article, is driven largely by a growing middle class and preference for cheaper devices.
