The number of people who planned to shop online has doubled since 2011, according to Nielsen’s Global E-Commerce Survey.
Not only are more people shopping online, shoppers are also branching out from typical purchases like books, clothing and electronics to shopping for pet supplies, groceries and holidays.
Computers are still the preferred device for online shopping, but mobile devices are a close second in the Middle East and Africa where 55% of respondents use their mobile devices to shop online.
